About Happy valley international school

 Ms. Haruka has over 18 years of experience in education, spanning elementary school and adult instruction in both Japan and Oregon. Born in China, she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Japan.

She strongly believes that early education must begin with love, creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired. Her approach focuses on inquiry-based learning and abundant activities that nurture natural curiosity, equipping young students to become active participants in a global community.

Ms. Haruka advocates for a fun, supportive environment that fosters cognitive, social, emotional, creative, and physical growth. She prioritizes encouraging healthy habits, self-confidence, and social skills through play and positive interactions. 

 Ms. Linda grew up in Portland and still loves the city. She has training and experience as a reading specialist and teacher as well as in Montessori education. Ms. Linda loves books and studying. She enjoys creating an atmosphere where children fall in love with stories and books. She creates activities that help them to discover learning as an enjoyable adventure. Ms. Linda likes spending time with her husband, family and friends, old and new, and pursuing healthy living.
